OUR SENIORS
Gracie
- September '94
Clifton
Sapphire now known as Gracie stopped racing when she was five. She
has been a very welcome addition to the Greyhound Gardens Hound Pack
in Salem. She loves to cuddle and spends a lot of time under
Terri's computer.
Jet
- April '91
Jet is
particularly fond of the bed in the master bedroom. Careful
negotiations are necessary at night and for naps.
He still romps
in the yard and "dances" outside the door waiting to get in for his
dinner.
Phoebe
- October
'91
I have a special place you see – I am
the grande dame, the queen – and I know it.
Want to know a
secret? I really can eat out of the bowl myself – but oh how
I love that little extra attention.
Edie
- February '96
Edie certainly doesn't understand what senior
means. She can run and chase and play tug o' war with the best of them.
She originally came to us as a foster dog after losing her original
home of several years. She was demanding for attention and hated to
ride in the car. She quickly discovered the best way to make us fall in
love, so that she could call us her forever home. It worked.
Oneco-
March '94
Oneco was the adoption kennel sweetheart and has
maintained her status as the sweetheart. After an
impressive racing career, she settled down to become a mom. She has 20
babies and some of them are still racing.
